Proposed Dates to Resume Training/Games

Firstly, thank you to everyone for your patience and support through this challenging time as baseball has had to take a backseat to more important matters. We hope everyone has been keeping well as we look forward to remerging to see friends and return to the things we enjoy, including baseball.

Last night Baseball Victoria reported on news provided by Vic Sports & Recreation regarding PROPOSED dates to return to training and games. The proposed dates are dependent on the all-important daily average being the required numbers as set by Government. But at least now we have some dates to work towards:

Proposed Dates
From 19 October – Junior & Senior training can commence
From 14 November – Junior & Senior Games can commence

Understandably there will be requirements on players, parents and the club around social distancing and masks etc, as well as some limitations to groups sizes etc, once all that detail is known it will be passed on prior to any training or games commencing.

As you can see these dates are fairly soon with only 3 weeks until training and potentially 6 weeks before games, this means a shorter pre-season than ever before so a lot of help and support will be needed to get this off the ground so both children and adults can get back on the field, so please be patient and ask questions if you are not sure of anything.

Training
ALL Junior & Senior players MUST register to train on Sports TG, this link is being updated and will be provided later this week. No registration, no training. All training session attendees are recorded and submitted to Baseball Victoria per session.

As always, the only way junior sport can happen is with help coaching, scoring, team managers, so please comment below if you can assist and someone will contact you. There will no doubt be other roles around ensuring compliance to COVID restrictions so all help is greatly appreciated.
