If you have ever wondered whether baseball is the sport for you, the Newport Baseball Club is giving you the opportunity to find out.
The club is holding two come and try days at KC White Reserve, Park Crescent, Williamstown North.
Free sausage sizzle and a bottle of water included!
Girls and boys aged between 8 – 16 can try out baseball
Girls and boys aged between 4 – 8 can take part in Aussie Tee-ball (a modified version of baseball)
What to bring?
Just normal sports sneakers are fine. We can supply all other equipment on the day including baseball gloves & bats.
Why the Newport Rams?
We pride ourselves on being a family club and want your kids to fit right in. Every child has something to offer in Baseball from Pitching, Hitting, Running or Fielding. Our coaches will work with them from fundamentals to progressing them through the junior ranks.
Plenty of our Junior Newport Rams have gone on to representative teams and also in 2021 we have 4 players heading to US Colleges to study and play baseball.
We have different levels / age groups and our female team program is going from strength to strength and now provides a pathway for our younger girls to senior’s baseball.
Facilities are some of the best in Victoria and available for all players, which includes recently upgraded grounds and lighting. Also, a full indoor facility for hitting and pitching, giving us wet weather training options also.
The Newport Rams want baseball to be the best part of your child’s day every time they take the field to train or play.
Summer Season ’21 / ’22 we’re looking to have our biggest season yet so come and join us! The season will start in later September with training usually 4 weeks before this.
